 Design Jordan & The International Design Forum ( Dubai )

Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, The International Design Forum (IDF), was  held in Dubai from 27-29 May, IDF was organized by Moutamarat, a joint venture of Tatweer, a Dubai Holding Company, and Saudi Research and Publishing Company.



Design Jordan is a true believer in the IDF and shares its cause of raising design culture in the Arab world, in effect DJ established a great relationship with Moutamarat. Through this relationship DJ was asked to participate in the forum as a knowledge partner, and as a result, DJ supported the initiative by bringing a high profile Jordanian delegation to participate in IDF. In addition, Design Jordan 's CEO participated as a panelist in two sessions: Design for the Masses, and Inside the Boardroom. Furthermore, Design Jordan held a Studio session in which it presented in it key contributions by Design Jordan team members. This in fact has put Design Jordan hand in hand with the top designers in the world, like Marcel Wanders, Karim Rashid and others.

The combination of issues covering the various challenges and opportunities facing the region, along with a unique mix of participants from business, politics and society, created a special energy which encapsulated the theme "Putting Diversity to Work". Design Jordan has been in the middle of this as an active participant at the World Economic Forum at the Dead Sea-Jordan. This was through WorkSpace: Empowering Entrepreneurs .
