Design Jordan aims at contributing to the economic and social development of Jordan through the development of the industrial and services sectors in Jordan , by means of improving their innovative and creative capabilities in product/Industrial design and development thereby enhancing their performance, productivity and competitiveness.

Design Jordan is committed to achieving its objectives by combining international know-how with local resources for the benefit of our clients and the Local Design infrastructure.

Objectives

  Increase Jordan 's total Gross Domestic Expenditure on R&D (GERD) and increase its representation of Jordan 's GDP from 0.36% to 1% in 5 years

  Create awareness and realization for the importance of design

  Support in building an Innovation culture for firms and Individuals, Set new standards of excellence for design production

  Create linkages among Academia, Private Sector, Government, Bridge the theory-practice gap

  Develop Design as a key industry in Jordan by increasing the number of multi-sector integrations, number of design businesses, their respective turnover/fee income, number of employees and their respective salaries.

  Build the image / reputation of Jordan internationally as a leading innovation/design provider primarily catering for the Arabic and Muslim communities in the world.

  Jointly communicate with the Government at domestic, regional and international levels to bridge the divide and build awareness about the importance of design.

  Introduce a design policy that is applied and recognised in Jordan 's industry sector.
